This ‘Newer’ ‘Upgraded’ Unreleased version features Producer John Porter playing an emulated sitar!
Less ‘Stompingly Glam’ than the officially released Stephen Street version, this variant was rejected for unknown reasons and presumably binned. It was to be Producer John Porter’s last recording session with the band
It’s almost as if Porter knew this was the last time he’d be working with the band, so he had Marr lay down 30 times more guitars than normal as a parting gift. {This 2012 upgraded Track Sounds really spectacular in headphones}
This alternate version was originally signed, sealed, delivered & ready to go. Then for whatever reason the band had a rethink, decamped to another studio with Stephen Street, and re-recorded the song.
